CHRISTOPHER JAMES ALEXANDER CREATES ONE-OF-A-KIND, WHEEL-THROWN VASES AND BOWLS IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.
My ceramics adventure began in middle school when my parents signed me up for my first class at the Pot Shop in Evanston, Illinois. Over the next several years, the studio’s patient and wise owner, Dominic Mosca, taught me all about the wonders of creating with clay.
I continued learning how to work on the wheel in high school and at George Washington University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts and Art History.
In 2021, I rediscovered my passion for pottery at Good Dirt L.A. My collaboration with the studio’s talented owner, Lina Alvarez, and her excellent team, has allowed me to explore new forms and distinctive glazes inspired by my love of architecture and my Mediterranean roots.
I’m grateful for the guidance and encouragement I’ve received from all of my thoughtful teachers, family, and friends, and I’m excited to continue sharing my pots with people around the globe.
